Caramelised Bananas on French Toast Recipe

Decadent, easy-to-serve Caramel-Banana French Toast is great for family brunches. It’s a tasty dessert option, too, for parties or dinner.

RECIPE:

CARAMELISED BANANAS ON FRENCH TOAST
3 slices bread (cut into any shape)
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp white sugar

TO FRY THE FRENCH TOAST
2 tbsp margarine

FOR THE CARAMEL SAUCE
2 tbsp margarine
1/2 cup old fashioned brown sugar
2 large bananas (cut into thick rounds)

Beat eggs, milk and sugar together (add more sugar if you prefer it sweeter)

Heat margarine in a pan, soak cut bread into egg mixture and fry gently for 2 minutes on either side. Set aside.

For the caramel sauce :

In a pan melt margarine, add brown sugar and let sugar dissolve. Add bananas and fry gently then toss anf fry on the other side.

Sandwich fried bananas between french toast, drizzle with syrup from pan. Serve with vanilla ice cream and garnish with strawberries.
